Official village notice

Privacy policy

Your detective work is your business. Here is ours, in plain English.

Last updated: 24 September 2026

The short version

Much Fibbing: Village Mysteries collects nothing about you. There are no accounts, adverts, analytics or tracking, and the game makes no internet requests at all. Your questions and progress stay on your device.

Who we are

Much Fibbing is made by Andrew Tech, an independent studio in the United Kingdom. When this policy says “we”, that's who it means. You can reach us at hello@andrewtech.co.uk.

What you type

Your questions to the suspects are answered on your device:

What you type is never sent to us or to anyone else.

What stays on your device

Your progress (cases, clues, notebook and settings, including the name on your warrant card) is saved on your device so you can carry on later. It isn't sent anywhere. Deleting the app deletes it.

Voices, sound and motion

Reading replies aloud uses your device's built-in voices, on your device. The village scenery tilts a little as you move your phone; the game reads the motion sensor only for that and keeps nothing. The game does not use your microphone, camera, location, contacts or photos.

Sharing

If you tap Share, the game makes a picture or a line of text about how you did and opens your device's share sheet. Nothing is sent unless you choose where to send it, and the share card never gives away a case's solution.

Children

The game doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children.

If you email us

If you write to us, we'll use your email address and message only to reply. We won't add you to a mailing list or pass them on, and we delete support emails once they're dealt with, or sooner if you ask.

This website

This website uses no cookies, analytics, advertising pixels or third-party trackers. Fonts and images are served with the site. Our host, Vercel, processes standard request data (such as IP addresses) to deliver the pages and keep them secure.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. For the game there's nothing to ask for, because we hold nothing. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If this ever changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top before a new version of the game does anything differently.
